Arizona’s education system is ranked 46th out of the 50 states in 2017, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. There are several districts and teachers striving to provide the best possible education for our children. We have compiled a list of the best school districts in Arizona, focusing on those in the Phoenix area. The rankings are out of the 127 School Districts in the state.
The top rated school district in the Phoenix area is Chandler Unified School District coming in at the #2 district in the state. CUSD is also ranked the second best district in the state for athletics.
Gilbert Unified School District was ranked the eighth best district in the state. The GUSD is also is the 13th safest district in the state.
Scottsdale Unified School District comes in right behind Gilbert at ninth best, they are the 12th safest district, and their athletics are ranked sixth in the state.
Tempe Union High School district is ranked the 16th best district and their athletics program comes in as the third best in the state.
Queen Creek Unified School District is the 21st best district in Arizona and 10th for athletics.
Finally, Mesa Unified School District is ranked 22nd best district and the third most diverse district in the state.
